Over four decades ago, our founder, Youval Meicler, began his journey on the factory floor of a furniture manufacturing facility. Learning the intricate craft from the ground up—spanning hardwood carpentry, spring setting, cushion filling, and hand upholstery—he identified a widespread industry issue: mass production was sacrificing long-term durability for fast profits.
Realizing that commercial buyers and homeowners alike were forced to settle for disposable, imported furniture held together by staples and particle board, he established Living Designs Furniture. The goal was straightforward: produce heavy-duty, factory-direct custom seating using solid hardwood frames and premium performance materials.
